Hornist André Goodrich joined NOCCO for the orchestra's second season and was smitten with the collaborative ensemble's ethos and mission ever after. Since arriving in Seattle in 2005, André has performed extensively with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Auburn Symphony Orchestras, as well as in pit orchestras for many produtions at the 5th Avenue, Paramount, and Seattle Children's Theaters. He has also been an occasional guest musician for Lucia Neare's Theatrical Wonders.

Before Seattle, André made his home in Chicago. Active throughout the midwest, André was a frequent performer with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and Illinois Symphony Orchestras, as well as the leading regional orchestras around the greater Chicagoland area, and somewhat further away, Kenosha and Cedar Rapids. Recording projects and performances backing major national and international artists were common engagements then as now.

André received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Northwestern University, where he was a student of Dale Clevenger and Norman Schweikert. Other influential teachers, with particular regard to chamber music, included Gail Williams, Rex Martin, and Ray Still. He was also a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

Away from the horn, André is fairly obsessed with aviation. He recently earned his Private Pilot's License and is actively pursuing additional ratings and endorsements. He is also an enthusiastic cook, savoring the history lessons found within different regions'cuisines as much as the dishes themselves. A frequent and favorite subject of study is barbecue, the saucing of which, André contends, should be unnecessary.
