10th Anniversary Celebration
Celebrate 10 Seasons with NOCCO!
Join us on Friday, June 13th, 6:00pm at Town Hall for a unique play-along event. NOCCO musicians will be rehearsing and performing Mozart’s Symphony No. 31 “Paris” with members of the community! Anyone is welcome to participate as a performer or audience member. You will get unique insight into how our orchestra works collaboratively to listen and play together without a conductor. Here’s how it works:
BYOI (Bring Your Own Instrument): Arrive around 6pm to start setting up. We’ll start “rehearsal” at 6:30pm. We’ll provide some printed parts and music stands but you can also download your part in advance HERE. (UPDATE: We’ll be using the Leipzig: Breitkopf & Härtel, n.d. Plate Orch.B.4404. parts)
Rehearse with NOCCO for about 30 minutes. If the music is above your current abilities, no worries! Play what you can and enjoy listening to the rest! NOCCO musicians will help you out. At the very least, you can stand there and look pretty ;)
At the end of rehearsal, we’ll do a full play-through of the symphony (about 17 minutes) as our final performance!
Stay after the performance to enjoy snacks, beverages from the Otto Bar, and socialize with NOCCO musicians, staff, and board members
Admission to NOCCO’s 10th Anniversary Celebration for play-along musicians and audience.
