Holly Harrison — Jabberwock

Holly Harrison’s Jabberwock takes inspiration from the wonderfully strange world of Lewis Carroll’s “Jabberwocky.” With the orchestra as storyteller, Harrison transforms the poem’s fantastical creatures, invented language, and sense of adventure into a colorful musical world.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — Piano Concerto No. 15 in B-flat major, K. 450, I. Allegro

NOCCO Concerto Competition winner Nina Iorik takes the spotlight in the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 15. Brilliant, energetic, and filled with conversation between soloist and orchestra, the work provides a showcase for one of our community’s talented young musicians.

Brannon Warn-Johnston — Overture from an Imagined World

Brannon Warn-Johnston invites us into an imagined world of her own, using the orchestra to create a musical landscape born from possibility and imagination. The work continues Fables’ journey through storytelling, where an orchestra can transport us somewhere entirely new without saying a single word.

Sergei Prokofiev — Peter and the Wolf, Op. 67

One of classical music’s most beloved musical stories closes the program. Prokofiev gives each character a distinctive instrument and musical theme, transforming the orchestra into a cast of characters as Peter sets off on his unforgettable adventure.
