Rob Tucker has performed as principal percussionist and timpanist with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra. He has also played timpani and percussion on more than 100 major motion picture soundtracks. A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory and the University of Southern California, he taught percussion at Western Washington University for 10 years. Tucker was a founding member of Quake and the Pacific Rims Percussion Quartet, and has performed with the Seattle Chamber Players, Seattle Chamber Music Society, and the Icicle Creek, Orcas Island, and Methow Valley Chamber Music Festivals. Tucker has several Northwest premieres to his credit, including works by Sofia Gubaidulina, Jennifer Higdon, Alfred Schnittke, Chinary Ung, Nigel Westlake, Iannis Xenakis, and many others.​
