Linnea Wentworth

oboe

Linnea Wentworth has played oboe and English horn with NOCCO since 2016.  She is also the principal oboist of the Northwest Symphony Orchestra and has previously performed with groups in Seattle, Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Phoenix, Arizona.  Linnea is an active private teacher in Everett and Snohomish, and is on the faculty at Seattle Pacific University.  She started her small business Simaril Reeds in 2014, selling hand made oboe reeds and cane.

Linnea has a B.A. in music performance from Whitworth University, studying oboe and violin, and a M.M. in oboe performance from Arizona State University, studying with Martin Schuring.  She also studied reed making with David Weber.
